Scenic Adair Co, KY: Maybe not just like a tree
2016-02-06 - Leatherwood Creek Church Road, between Weed & Nell, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. The African American rooted spiritual may not have had this sentry tree by one of the four bridges, over Leatherwood Creek Church Road in mind in "I Shall Not Be Moved"; but what character it possesses! If one monitored around the clock, they might find it home to varmints of a higher order than the insects eating at its heart and making it dode at the center and hollow from top to bottom. It evokes the poetry of Dylan Thomas and does appear to be going, but not gently, into that good night. Leatherwood Church Road is in Adair County Magisterial District 4, Honorable Perry Reed, Squire, and is 2.56 miles and overs stunning scenery entering either from Chestnut Grove Road and going up hill, or, our favorite, from Weed-Keltner/KY 768 downhill. A trip down Leatherwood Church Road is a rewarding lunch-time-with-a-sandwich & water know-your-county-better trip we'd recommend. - LINDA & ED

Mystery Roadway: Hilltop Drive at foot of hill in Liberty, KY
2016-02-06 - Liberty, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, CM photo. At the foot of the Hill of the "Steep snowy curvy hill roadway" there is this sign. Higher up the Hill, Google Map and others call it "Hilltop Road." Joe B. McKinley said the Mystery Picture was on the "Old Water Tower Road," Liberty, KY, and that is the name many Liberty residents know it by. A few minutes after his correct answer was received, Shannon Sexton identified the mystery scene as being on "Hilltop Road," Liberty, KY.

The cat who comes to dinner
2016-02-05 - Fortune Street, Columbia, KY - Photo inspiration from Geniece Marcum. Where do you suppose this cat comes from? He has a look of refinement but gives no answers about his heritage. He won't say where he lives but shows up in the neighborhood regularly, especially at mealtime. He won't discuss his past but looks healthy and well kept. He lives by a no touching rule. Get close and he's off. Put out food and he's back.

CLUE #2 - still looking for correct answer to Photo Mystery
2016-02-05 - ?????? Still searching for the mystery location, this photo is a clue - Photo by Linda Waggener. Out of sincere contrition for the fiendishly difficult where is it photo, we're posting a second photo from the curve (seen just starting in the original photo), this one goes on down and around the bend of that curve. Where the trees have been removed for the electrical wires some buildings and red rooftops can be seen -- big clues. At 9:36amCT, today, February 5, 2016, we will begin posting all the previously as yet unposted answers, then posting at least the first correct answer which includes the name of the street or county road. -- EW
