This section of Wheeler Hill Road is now marked private drive, but for any who miss the that distinction, they may be surprised that there's a garage in the middle of the road, which, truth be told, may prevent a ton of accidents in the future.. Now people will know that the road ends. Before the garage was built, there was only a guardrail, which kinda snuck up on folks who weren't paying attention. At one time, in the not so distant past, this roadway was Burkesville Road, at the time the most modern route to the capitol of Cumberland County. In the world of photography, it's a given that Ansel Adams could have surpassed all rivals using only a Brownie, up against another photographer's 20 lens Hasselblad. Jane Smith, Simply Jane, is in the same category. She snapped this legacy photograph last night at the Adair County Court Clerk's office, just before the absentee vote was taped to the clerk's door. While she has received raves for past classics, such as the recent Robert's Radiator photo, the Alpine Sign, and others, in all likelihood, this one, taken with a borrowed cell phone will be her classic, and not just for the stellar subject matter.
