Crash survivor donates helmets 2016-03-25 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Shamarie Harper. On March 22, 2015, "A standout Lindsey Wilson student-athlete, Hannah Hayduk, was airlifted from near the scene of an single bicycle crash on Dunbar Hill..." On the afternoon of March 24, 2015, one of our own finest and best Adair County educators, Michael Godsey, suffered a near fatal bicycle accident. How appropriate that today, March 24, 2016, Hannah along with Robin Lewis, donated four helmets to be given away with the four bicycles already donated by Mason's Hood Lodge #839. Hannah worked as a part time EMT for both Adair and Green County EMS. Hannah graduated last May from LWC and now attends UPike studying medicine. Robin is a paramedic with our BEST ANYWHERE Adair EMS family! The helmet project is called JOY Helmets. If anyone would like to make a donation to help with purchase of helmets, they may contact Robin at 270-250-5299. We are sure thankful for both Hannah and Michael's lives today!
