It bloomed in Forsythia time at my grandmother's house in Sulphur Well, Metcalfe County, KY. Though it would seem impossible to stand out among showy Forsythia, these little guys, with there deeper, slightly darker yellow color, always did. I called them yellow button flower, but I'm wondering if Japonica might be the right name? Scenic Adair Co., KY: Redbud, Dogwood, & Red Cedar 2016-04-06 - Knifley Road, Adair County, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, CM. It's a time we look for every spring, a time with both redbud and dogwoods are in bloom. Some years the seasons seem almost distinct, with redbud fully fading before dogwoods come into their own. Some years, the seasons are together, with dogwood trailing redbud by just a few days. This year, as here, they are just right. Epicurean Kentuckian: Omelet to Order, right off the menu 2016-04-06 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Many times, maybe most of the time, one can't improve on perfection. Many of us spend time studying the menu, designing our own versions of ingredients for the perfect omelet. Most of the time, it just doesn't pay. That was the case with this Western Omelet at the Circle R Restaurant. It was delicious just a the chef prepared it. Come to think about, the wait staff and the chef probably appreciated getting to do what they do best without advice. I hope that's so. It did make the experience more enjoyable for us. One has to wonder how often, in all transaction, we're the losers when we think we can modify what a master can do. "Connie Youngs is my sister and I took this photo of her little dog Sadie more recently than the one she posted earlier." Sadie has been missing since March 24, 2016. We live in the area of Tom Lewis Rd and Keltner Rd. Sadie is almost full grown, terrier/yelow lab mix. She is very friendly and loves everybody. She is wearing a flea color and a pink collar with little white paw prints.
