Charles Wade of Shrout, Tate, Wilson, recommended the low bid of Epperson Electric of Somerset, KY, to replace the boiler at Adair County High School. The Epperson bid was for $74,840. Only two bids were received. The other was from Central HVAC for $89,500. The work will start his week, Mr. Wade said, and will not interfere with the system nor with school activities. The system will be completed following the end of the spring semester. The vote to accept the low bid was 4-0, on a motion by Mike Harris (Div 5) with a second by Lisa Burton (3), with Board Chairman Floyd Burton (4) and Vice Chair Quin Lasley (2) joining in the affirmative. in the Terry Harvey (1) arrived after this vote was taken.
