Three crosses atop Red Brick Studios make huge statement

2016-02-20 - Redbrick Studio, 200 Public Square, Columbia, KY. - Photo By Ed Waggener.
Three crosses now stand out on the Downtown Square. The crosses were raised to the lofty position between 6am and 9amCT. The photo was taken before 10amCT. The crosses appear even taller than their 10-ft. height, and are angled for greatest visibility - the center cross, the cross of Christ, of Jesus - is the focal one, as it should be, from the Square and for incoming traffic on Burkesville Street. They stand out clearly against the gray Saturday morning sky. Attorney Mike Harris, owner of the two buildings on the left, above, said he is anxious to see how other conditions affect visibility, but he thinks the gold painted steel crosses will shine brightly on sky blue days, as well as night lights. - EW
