Search for elbow trees led to this jewel
2016-02-25 - Green River at Holmes Bend - Photo by Linda Waggener. Inspired by Steve Cheatham's elbow tree on the Bault farm on West Egypt Road, and thinking Green River Country must be a rich hunting ground for these sitting trees, we took a trip to Holmes Bend and found one ideal for their purpose. This one is near the fishing pier, and we could just visualize a row of toddlers sitting on it, enjoying the best Green River passing boat parade and, best of all GRL sunsets over Jericho Cliffs. It did sort of break down remembering the four-to-one ratio of anxious adults needed to watch over the little ones. - Ed & Linda.
