Young scientist Dalvian Thompson conducts experiment
2016-08-26 - Campbellsville Middle School, 315 Robers Road, Campbellsville, KY - Photo by Calen McKinney, Public Information Officer, Campbellsville Independent Schools (CIS). Campbellsville Middle School seventh-grade science students recently performed a science experiment with gummy bears. Students in Steven Gumm's class placed gummy bears in several different liquids to see what will happen. After making a hypothesis for how the gummy bears will interact with the nine liquids, students performed their experiment. Students placed gummy bears in water, salt water, sugar water, baking soda water, laundry soap water, vinegar, cola, Sprite and vegetable oil. The gummy bears were left in the liquids for two days, and then students studied the changes they could see in the candy. Above CMS seventh-grader Dalvian Thornton measures soda for his gummy bear experiment. - Calen McKinney
