Homeplace Festival to host Dept of Ag Mobile Science Display

The Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s Mobile Science Activity Center will be one of the keystone exhibits at Saturday’s Homeplace on Green River Fall Heritage Festival. This year’s festival will feature several new activities, exhibits and rides. The festival hours are 9amCT/10amET until 4pmCT/5pmET. The historic farm is located state highway 55 between Columbia and Campbellsville at 5807 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville. The entrance is well-marked.

High Scoring Campbellsville High Students - AP course tests

About 60 students took AP tests at the end of the 2015-2016 school year. Several students were recently honored for receiving top scores on the exams. They are, from left, front, seniors Laura Lamb, Blair Lamb and Caroline McMahan and junior Sara Farmer. Back, junior Alex Doss, senior Murphy Lamb and junior Bryce Richardson. J.W. Butler, one-time Adair County Judge, built this house in Columbia, which, at one time he himself had planned for his farm, but, at the insistence of his wife and adopted. daughter, built the handsome home in Columbia, and moved into it in 1897. It still stands on Greensburg Street, and is now undergoing a thorough cleanup.
