2016-09-24 - A & M Trading Post, Coburg, KY - Photo by Melissa Cundiff.

Clicking his name at the start of this takes you to the original story about Butch looking for his family after their sudden, untimely deaths. - Melissa Cundiff.

2016-09-24 - Columbia United Methodist Church, 202 Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com (c).
Yard Sale Central this morning is the JOY Ministries event at the Columbia United Methodist Church, 202 Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY, where the non-profit group has a ton of stuff which is available on a pay-your-own-price basis. There's everything from books to clothes to a variety of kitchen supplies and more. The morning started with some 50 kitchen strainers, and a basement full of clothes. Even if you don't buy, you can always make a contribution - particularly since JOY Ministries will soon be headquartered in the Harvest Cafe Building, at 212 Public Square, Columbia, KY. - EW

Wildflowers of Kentucky: Goldenrod on Garrett Creek Road

2016-09-24 - Garrett Creek Road, Cumberland County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com (c).
When Billy Joe Fudge posted his wonderful article about September, accompanied by a gorgeous spray of Goldenrod, it was inspiration to venture into Cumberland County to see if maybe, in fact, the Goldenrod is as pretty everywhere as it is in Amandaville, Cumberland County, KY. It certainly seems to be, though the BJF's Kentucky Color picture still takes Top Spot in the photography department. On Friday, September 23, 2016, however, it defies imagination to conjure up a more delightfully golden road byway, anywhere, and on this lightly travelled, picturesque country lane in Cumberland County, KY. - EW
