Campbellsville Middle School fifth-graders are learning all about the brain. In Donna White's class, students have been studying the different lobes of the brain and what they control. Students learned about the parietal, frontal, occipital and temporal lobes, and that they control pain, touch, personality, emotions, vision, color, shape, language, memory, learning and much more. To illustrate their new knowledge, students made their very own brains out of balloons and paper mache and then painted the different lobes. Students in Cyndi Chadwick's classes recently practiced keeping a steady beat by playing a variety of instruments. They took turns playing the instruments to keep the beat while marching in a circle together.
