There was never any real reason to tell her otherwise. Actually, better than graduating, he discovered Linda Reid Marcum, his first (and only) wife there. He was editor of the Edmonton Herald-News, and she was the paper's most popular columnist, producing a funny and informative column, "School Scraps." On Saturday, November 5, 2016, he will demonstrate his unique glass ornaments from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30pmCT/3:30pmET. at the Kentucky Artisan Center, 200 Artisan Way, Berea. Using an oxygen-gas torch and his own hand-colored borosilicate glass, Scherer creates Christmas ornaments by encasing his handmade animals and birds with clear glass. A sphere is blown from a piece of glass tubing and the finished glass animal is inserted and attached. The opening is then gathered together and sealed with a loop for hanging. This Sunday will also be a special service for All Saints Day as we honor and remember our members who have died in Christ this year. These persons from Trinity who have gone on to glory are Allen Taylor, Jeanie Nokes, Evelyn Burton, Ed Harvey, Arleen Jessee, Edith Coomer, Alma Rogers, Ray Edrington, Gerald Coomer and Clarence Keltner. A special placard will be prepared and a candle will be lit in memory of each of these beloved members. Sunday School will be held at 9:30amCT as usual. Hospitality foods will be served starting at 9amCT. The 8:30amCT service will not be held this Sunday.
