Vex robot ready for competition

A team robot ready for a match to begin at Saturday's EC3 Hardin County KY State VEX Qualifier. 65 teams from Kentucky and Indiana competed in a full day of timed matches at the Early College and Career Center in Elizabethtown. Student-designed and -built robots competed in teams of 2 in frantic two-minute matches to move objects across a barrier onto other teams' territory.

Graham Waggener makes adjustments to a team robot at Saturday's EC3 Hardin County KY State VEX Qualifier. 65 teams from Kentucky and Indiana competed in a full day of timed matches at the Early College and Career Center in Elizabethtown. Graham's freshman team for Collins High School finished 44th, although one of the Collins teams made it to the very final round of competition before falling to a tough alliance of robots from Hardin County Schools.
