Preschool students study the letter V - for Volcano

Campbellsville Elementary School preschool students recently studied the letter V.
In addition to learning to write the letter in uppercase and lowercase, students in Denise Spencer’s class learned several words that start with V.
One of the words was "volcano."
After the unit, Spencer showed students a model of a volcano and made it erupt by using baking soda and vinegar. Above Spencer adds baking soda to the volcano.

If it's a bear's residence, it has to be a pigmy bear's. If it is a groundhog home, the adult must be an 80 pounder. More likely, a red fox's den, and maybe, a coyote's place. It's on the downstream side of the Greenhills Road Bridge. - EW

Mayor Curtis Hardwick meets with Rep. James Comer

Columbia Mayor Curtis Hardwick met with First District Representative James Comer at his office in Washington, DC. Mayor Hardwick was part of the Lake Cumberland Area Development District delegation who were advocating on behalf of issues affecting the district, mainly roads, economic development jobs, and the drug issues facing the district. Mayor Hardwick said that the Taylor and Adair Countians also talked with Rep. Comer about the Heartland Parkway.
