Famed photographer Bill Luster speaking at the Campbellsville University Media luncheon, above. Luster began his career in his native Glasgow, KY. He worked for the Glasgow Daily Times, which was headed by Carroll Knicely, and then spent 42 years with the Courier-Journal. Luster's shared many memorable moments and photos, including coverage of fellow Barren Countian Louie Nunn's years as Governor. He also had access to eight presidents during his career. But a very memorable anecdote for Adair, Metcalfe, and Barren Countians was a time in his early days. He said he headlined a story "Barren woman marries Breeding man," adding, "Mr. Knicely never asked me to do a wedding page layout again." Rides XVII: Harold Johnson's rebuilt 1967 Chevy SS 2017-04-13 - Birch Road, Adair County, KY - Photo by Tommy Bailey. A friend of mine "Harold Johnson" who lives nearby, stopped by Sunday to show his newly rebuilt 1967 Chevy SS.He also took Jenny and I for a cruise. It was a Tennessee barn find that had been in limbo for 15 years. Harold belongs to the Russell County Car Club ( Good Ole Boys Toys) and will be showing it this coming Saturday at the City Park in Russell Springs. There is no admission fee and you can register between the hours of 1-3. Trophies will be giving away at 4 pm. Some of the sponsors are Don Franklin and Hwy. 80 Auto Accessories.
