The New VFW Post 6097 will be open by Memorial Day 29 May 2017, bar unforeseen circumstances, Mike Newton, Lindsey Wilson Plant Operations Manager says, even though that's now just 34 days away, and he says, his experience crew can complete the task without calling in a Jehovah's Witness Quick Build team. They've completed bigger 'miracles' on tighter time frames before. Also underway, among other things, are the major project of repurposing the Adair County Fairgrounds, work on the Lindsey/Jeffries Building Downtown, and the day-to-day projects on the campus, the Pines at Lindsey Wilson, and the schools' other centers. - EW. Adair Fiscal Court Nuisance Committee meets; takes 1 action 2017-04-21 - Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, Columbiamagazine.com(c) . Magistrate Terry Hadley (District 7) presided at a meeting at 9amCT, today, Friday, April 21, 2017, of the Adair Fiscal Court Nuisance Committee, with committee member Harold Burton (1) also in attendance. At the roughly 10 minute meeting Magistrate Hadley announced that an official notification will go to a residence on Buell Collins Road notifying the owner to remove trash and debris from the front yard. Chairman Hadley said that two other active nuisance ordinance violators, previously cited had asked for and received extensions to allow them to take advantage of free tipping. The balance of the meeting included a discussion on making the county's April 29, 2019 PRIDE cleanup day a success.
