No action was taken on the concepts, but Sparkman said that the construction could be a relatively low cost, and would likely meet with little red tape at the state level because Adair County has taken care of so many other high priority academic and classroom facilities already. The gate was constructed by students Parker Staton, Bryce Judd, Abby Gunter, Jaycob Lee, Bradley Maslen, Xavier Mathis, Gabe Cowan, and Samuel Willis, supervised by Instructor Barney Taylor, and coordinated with Adair County Schools Director of Maintenance David Jones, who used the occasion as the focus of his monthly Buildings & Grounds Report to the Board of Education. - EW. Farmers Market on the Square was introduced by Henrietta Scott, widow of Jeff Scott who was very instrumental in starting the group of folks with a vision shared of something the whole community could share that could grow larger in its service. He believed it should be something that included the mind and the spirit. He grew apples as his part of the Farmers Market as well as acted as leader. I know Jeff would be very, very proud. She asked Barbara Armitage to come and explain the FM2 service. Barbara said FM2 could not have been done without Jeff as one of the founding members.
