It's interesting to see the different views from inside the fence. Scarcely had the detour barricades gone at the intersection of KY 61 and KY 90 in Burkesville, KY for the repaving project there, than local residents had created an impromptu bypass at Cliff Street, Cumberland Drive, Veterans Drive, and a variety of other possibilities including Upper River Road to get from North to South 61. Similar work around "Shortcuts" were also developing on county roads and other city streets when this photo was taken.
