Scenic Casey County, KY: Winter wonderland in Liberty

This bridge is the cityside entrance to the one-third mile walking trail from Downtown to the Ag Expo Center and connects, just across the bridge to the forested Liberty Island Loop Walking trail, which, combined with the crossing trail gives hikers a total of over one mile. Christmas lights were still up, on January 7, 2016, though they're only faintly visible in this photo. - EW

CES third-grader Caysen Tungate looks for books with his grandfather, John Mascarenas, above, Campbellsville Elementary School students recently enjoyed some time at school with their grandparents. CES hosted Grandparents Day in the library, and all students and their grandparents were invited to attend. Students shopped the book fair with their grandparents, and enjoyed time reading together.
