Sleep Inn ribbon cutting and open house held 19 Jan 2017

A large crowd of supporters gathered for the official opening of Columbia's new Sleep Inn & Suites Hotel, over five years in the idea, follow through and completion stages. Max Wise, Columbia Mayor Curtis Hardwick, Sleep Inn partners Mike Neal, Tommy Grider and Terry Harvey, County Judge Executive Michael Stephens, Sleep Inn General Manager Austin Pace, Past President of the Chamber of Commerce Brenda Mann and Executive Director Sue Stivers.

Edmonton graduate of new Walmart Training Academy

Rebekah Sneed, one of the first members of the new Walmart Training Academy to graduate in the opening ceremony, was joined by her husband Jack and their little son, Aiden, four and a half months. Rebekah, a two-year Walmart employee, said she was able to come back to start the training course at the end of her pregnancy leave and is looking forward to how it will help her career.
