Campbellsville High School freshman Cole Kidwell, at left, and Jim Jefferies cut their string to make their cell model.CHS students learn about cells. CHS students recently learned about the structure of a cell.AP biology students spent several weeks learning the parts of a cell and their functions.
As an activity for the unit, Lauren Bennett asked her students to make a model of a cell out of a paper plate, pipe cleaners and string.
And for their exam over cells, students used their plates as they explained to Bennett the parts and functions.

Admiring the Beauty of God's Small Creatures...Took this colorful pic of what I've always called a garden spider in the Flemingsburg Kentucky area while away this past weekend. After three photo sessions over a 1 hour stretch I was finally able to capture the spider during the golden hour sunset when the light is at its best for photography. - ROBERT ELLIS

Matthew Irvin is giving his mom Tralisa Foster a hug during the JOY Ministries Mission Week. Mission Week is essentially a "missions trip" done locally. Participants commit to living and working as a community, with a local church as headquarters. They spend their days at various work sites, helping the neediest in our community in a variety of ways. It is free to participants and interdenominational.

Bicentennial Committee recognizes CJE Eddie Rogers

Larry Smith member of the Campbellsville Bicentennial Committee presents Taylor County Judge Executive Eddie Rogers and the Taylor Fiscal Court a certificate of appreciation for the monetary donation made to the bicentennial committee, the money along with a donation from the Campbellsville City Council has helped fund the year long celebration. Campbellsville Kentucky is 200 years old this year.
