CIS receives grant to purchase Automated External Defibrillators 2017-08-14 - Campbellsville, KY - Photo by Calen McKinney, Public Information Officer, Campbellsville Independennt Schools (CIS) . Campbellsville Independent Schools recently received a grant to purchase three AED machines to be used at Campbellsville elementary, middle and high schools. In January, CIS submitted a grant request to Taylor County Board of Health members, asking for funds to purchase three new Automated External Defibrillator machines. Board of Health members recently awarded $3,120 to the District to purchase the machines. The machines will be installed in cabinets at the gymnasiums at the three schools. CIS partnered with Taylor County Health Department and Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS personnel to submit the grant proposal and make the purchase.
