Toxic or no - the vine needed to come down - might be allowed to grow back later - but the Adair Heritage Association clean, patch, paint supervisors decided the vine on the Historic Adair County Courthouse needed to come down today, at least in order to survey and document any structural deterioration. Columbia Police Department Sgt. Junior Murphy, who isn't allergic to poison ivy or poison oak completed the task, but wore protective gloves just in case. - ED

Can anyone help. The lamp posts at the Historic Adair County Courthouse are getting a fresh coat of paint today, but supervisors are hoping that they can be patched before paint goes on? Can anyone help?

Everywhere you look this morning, Wednesday, September 20, 2017, Lindsey Wilson College students are out working magic on the 2017 Malvina Farkle Day. This group doing detailed cleanup in front of the Adair Annex just after 8amCT, today. This annual day of service is a big reason to pause and remember what a positive impact LWC has on the community. - EW

Is this plant a toxic to touch vine? Could someone ID and call 270-403-0017 with expert advice. Lindsey Wilson's Malvina Farkle volunteers need to know before removing the vine. - LW.

Work continuing at a rapid pace this morning cleaning and sprucing with the Historic Adair County Courthouse. This pile of brush, will be picked up by the City of Columbia Sanitation Department for proper disposal. A workman for the contract lighting company installing new lights works over traffic on the third arm of the system, barely noticed by traffic underneath.
