Scenic Adair Co., KY - Down Wheeler Hill Pass, into The Flatwoods
2017-10-22 - Wheeler Hill Pass looking north from Chattanooga Highway, KY 61/Burkesville Road, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, riding shotgun. There's only a hint of fall color here, just before the turn off on the right to go into the Central Business District of The Flatwoods. Around the bend into the Neat woods on both sides of KY 61 the roadsides are gorgeous with yellows and reds, oranges, still dark leaves and black green evergreens, sights of one pumping oil well, and critters, lots of hawks, deer, and every few years, a more and more common black bear. - EW
