Campbellsville Elementary School students are learning about eggs in Patty Haley’s third-grade class where they recently performed an experiment to see just how tough the egg membrane is and how it protects an egg. To experiment, students first placed an egg in vinegar. Three days later, students observed how their egg had changed, then removed their egg from the vinegar and the shell came off easily. Next they dropped their eggs at different distances to test how the membrane protects the egg. CES third-graders smile as they prepare to drop their eggs. Orissa wrote, "We got married in the Begley Chapel; my niece calls the chapel, 'The Singing House.' Nick and I had a very small wedding, we all gathered in a circle inside the circular chapel, joined hands and a few of us sang out spontaneously.
