An overturned semi on South 61 in the Breeding Community has caused a temporary road closure at around 1amCT, Monday morning January 22, 2018. Adair County Emergency Manager Mike Keltner said that the roadway should be clear by sunrise this morning. Meanwhile, Breeding Loop is being used as a detour.

Washington, Chris's sister Stephanie (the Maid of Honor) asked how their life was going. Bill told her that they have standards...as long as they don't have their 50th Anniversary meal at McDonald's, they are doing well. Oops!

Greg Thomas, Columbia, KY, receives William F. Taylor Award
 2018-01-21 - Photo From Adair County Fair Association. Greg Thomas was honored this past weekend at the Kentucky Association of Fair and Horse Shows convention to be the second recipient of the annual William F. Taylor Community Service award. This award is presented to an individual hometown fair person who is also recognized as a leader in other civic matters. In the picture with Greg are Adair County Fair and Horse Show members, (in no order) Brandy and Dan Held, Marshall Judd, Terry Harvey, Anthony Brockman, Fay Davidson, Jeff Biggs, Susan Perkinson, Amanda Page and Jennifer Carter.

Third Bridge Below The Greasy Creek Falls, Russell Co., KY

The Delightful Falls of Greasy Creek, a Gem of Russell Co., KY

Robert Ellis writes: "I've spent the largest portion of my life in Adair County and didn't know about this waterfall until recently. Yesterday, Saturday, January 20, 2018, was my second visit here and I was hoping there would still be some snow and ice in the Creek. Most of the snow was gone, but the leftover ice in the Creek and Falls helped to improve the photo, as least it does for me. To the left of the photo is Jobbes Fork.
