The whole picture changes perception
2018-02-27 - Greensburg Street from Adair Annex, Columbia KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
It was an innocent cropping to give a step-back-in-time look at the Nathan Gaither/Chuck Rogers house. And I couldn't figure out, from the cropped photo, how the enlarged cut-out had the stop sign on what looks like the wrong side of the road. So here it is, the whole picture. With a moral: Sometimes the anecdotal "truth" an eyewitness remembers, just may not the the whole truth. Maybe there's no lesson at all. - EW. 2018-02-27 - Columbia, Adair County, KY - Photo by Billy Joe Fudge.
The Man in the Moon
The Man in the Moon,
Perched high in the Tree,
Will light up the Night
For us all to see.

Pickett family and friends came together immediately
2018-02-26 - Green County, KY - Photo by Ed and Linda Waggener, columbiamagazine.com. Indus and Shirley Pickett's family and friends came immediately and stayed closely around them after Saturday night's tornado hit their farm. Grandson Kyle Davis, second from right, smiles over at his grandmother Shirley who'd been awake since the storm hit at 10:30pmCT. The three facing the camera are his mother LaNetta, Kyle, and his grandmother Shirley on the right. More family members look on -- everyone there to help and be reassured that Indus and Shirley are safe. Behind the group is the garage door that was completely blocked with blown down trees and had to be uncovered and removed since it was too damaged to allow for their vehicles to get out.

Scenic Metcalfe County, KY: Bowling Park, Edmonton, KY - I
2018-02-26 - Bowling Park, 1608 West Stockton Street Edmonton, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. It's a bit hard to realize that the wonderful community park was founded by the late Father George K. Bowling over 45 years ago. This marker near the entrance to the park is a tribute to his memory. Father Bowling was instrumental in creating a park at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Columbia, and in other communities, a lasting legacy in these towns. But in Edmonton, he fell in love with the community and the community with him and out of that a great, unifying facility was born which continues to serve not only Metcalfe County, but serves as a gathering place for surrounding counties as well.

Historic Columbia, KY - The Nathan Gaither/Chuck Rogers house
2018-02-26 - NW corner, Greensburg & S High Streets, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. This photo, was taken from the Public Square in Downtown Columbia on a very gray Sunday, February 25, 2018. After cropping the photo has a very interesting and I thought beautiful perspective. There were two very interesting features. First, the eery neon light in the lower right of the photo. The other I'll leave to those familiar with Columbia - and photographers to figure out. It threw me when I examined details in the photo. - EW. Paired Photo - The whole picture changes perception
