TODAY, Wednesday, March 21, 2018, the rally was to have been at the bus drop off at Adair County High School, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY, but school has been canceled for today, due to the snow.

The three at left participated in a six-hour Retail Academy marketing research intensive recently and gave highlights of the experience at the EDA meeting. From left are Andrea Waggener who represented Fiscal Court, EDA Chairman Mark Dykes, and Tiffany Kessler who represented the City of Columbia in the training. At right is Jeff Biggs who attended the meeting in support of the Adair County Fair proposal for a new location in the industrial park across the road from the Little League field.

EDA hears suggestion from Adair County Fair Board

Terry Harvey, center, and Billy Pickett, at right, members of the Adair County Fair Board, presented the idea of a trade of industrial park lands to result in a permanent home for the Fair near the Little League park. At left is EDA Board Member Roger Meadows. Harvey said that he'd asked Rob Wilkerson about the acreage because, after a long search, the search committee had determined that the acreage was best suitable of any they had looked at and it already has utilities which would greatly help the Fair.

ACES 5th graders prepare 40 bags for homeless

Following the study of the Preamble, 5th grade students in Mrs. Angie Smith's Social Studies class at Adair County Elementary School decided to "promote the general welfare" by collecting items to fill bags for the homeless in our community:
