For students who went to Metcalfe County High School in Edmonton before it expanded up the hill, this "view" is exactly what students saw and traveled every day as we headed from the entrance to classes. My daily track in senior year was down the steps to Ms. Susan Shirley Chambers' fun English-Lit class, then back up the stairs to Ms. Harriet Butler's serious Home Economics class. This "view", however, is only that, a view of a solid wall that, at first glance, appears to be the old stairway to classes on upper and lower levels, and in reality is the convincing work of a clever artist or artists. MCHS friends meeting lunch sample It was Taco Tuesday at the Old School Cafe in Edmonton where a group of friends met for lunch in the pouring rain of Tuesday April 24, 2018. Choices were beef or chicken, black beans, salad and taco chips. The cafe is owned by the school system and students do the work. It started as an early morning donut shop and has since expanded to include lunch.
