Robert Ellis: Yellow Garden Spider - Argiope - at Hillsboro, KY

2018-07-08 - Hillsboro, KY - Photo by Robert Ellis.
Yellow Garden Spider at Hillsboro, KY - This pic was taken last July in the Hillsboro area of Kentucky. This spider was behind the house where I was staying . It took three attempts, over a two hour period, to get the sun position and lighting just right for the photo. I used the "Macro" feature on my lens at about 2 inches away from the garden spider. The spider was nestled in among some flowers that added to the dramatic colors of the photo. - Robert Ellis (c) Robert Ellis Wood Working.com.
