Spartan Obstacle Course, a lot like basic training
2018-07-15 - Ft. Knox, KY - Photo by Pen. Grandson Graham Waggener took part in Spartan Honor Series Obstacle Course at Ft. Knox, KY on Saturday, July 14, 2018. From a look at the obstacles the participants paid to go through, it looks a lot like Army Basic Training, maybe more grueling, though there was no live ammo overhead, just barbed wire to encourage staying down and crawling. - Granddad, EW

2018-07-15 - Along an Adair County Byway - Kentucky - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. A charming little blue flower, Garden-of-Edeningly dubbed "Circled star, five petal, blue flowers on tall stem," for an internet search was rewarded with suggestions but no clear answer. Anybody know, a Carl Linnaeus system name? A better Garden-of-Eden name to start search. Forever tyro botanists and practicing Luddites who don't want another app intruding on life need to know. - EW
