One of my jobs on our fertile one-acre farm is to feed the livestock. Standard breakfast is at 6amCT. No matter how punctual, however, Blue always gives a look of "What are you waiting for? Do I have to call Cat-Abuse to get fed?" The same occurs every morning, even when breakfast is served at 5:45am or 5:40am, 5:30am, whenever. Same Blue gave me one of those looks response. This morning, in an experiment, wake up meal was backed up to 5:06am, I believe, and Blue ate ravenously, without even a "How'd ya do," for my efforts. The hypothesis is that incrementally, cat feeding could be backed up one whole day with no cat thank you. To avoid work that "ought not be did," does anyone know if this experiment has already been done. Wouldn't want to upset Blue's Circadian Rhythms unnecessarily, any less than break my own commitment to not doing work which ought not be did. A newly painted mural in Jamestown, KY, the capital of Russell County, defies anyone to ignore it. Many of us have watched with fascination as the art took form. Closer up, it's a study in Christian symbolism of the region. Minute details, like the "I Heart KY," compels one to search for others. Our view was from an air conditioned CRV, too near the Jamestown Police Department headquarters to allow for much lingering, but we'll head back on another lunch hour know-your-county-better-tour to see what other subtle messages are within. Changes are happening in the front acres of Green River Commerce Industrial Park and acreage has just been sold by the Columbia Adair County Economic Development Authority to the current industry, ATS, preparing for more jobs growth. The acreage above is not part of the purchase, but its improvement was cited as one of the reasons the Columbia/Adair County EDA agreed to sell additional land to ATS. ATS, currently the only employer in the park participated in improvements for the park, contributing to a recent sewer project which benefits the park and made it more attractive to new employers.
