In the 50s it was (or a building close by) which housed Midway Hardware, a wholesale distributor which sold to hardware and general stores in a wide area around Horse Cave. Midway distributed tobacco spears including those manufactured by E.P. Waggener & Sons, Columbia, KY. The Columbia/Adair County Economic Development Authority will be able to show a much more desirable Green River Commerce Park (GRCP) to prospective tenants, thanks to their own facilitation and the vision of anchor tenant ATS Mobility. Site work was virtually complete on the reshaping of the entrance to GRCP on Saturday, August 25, 2018, when this photo was taken. Just a few pieces of earthmoving equipment remained on site. The work was started mid-June 2018, Greer Excavating of Knifley, KY, owned by Greg Greer, a member of a family whose name is synonymous with site reformation.
