Curious cows - friendly, faces along Adair County byways
2018-08-28 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. Friendly faces abound along Adair County byways, none with a more pleasing 'cow-tenance' - to borrow from Jim's, "Cowlumbia" invention - than these two naturals, seemingly waiting to 'have their picture took,' with no fuss or coaching. - EW

Historic Adair Courthouse on picture perfect Sun 26 Aug 2018
2018-08-28 - Historic Adair County Courthouse, 500 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. Others out walking the Square Sunday saw it, noted it, and photographed it. This photo is cropped to show how the courthouse will look with the "wings" (or "execretions" as Janice Holt Giles was wont to put it) removed. The photo also illustrates a need to bury utilitie lines on the Square. While funds may not be immediately available to carry that project out, the community does need to know an estimated cost, the savings and improved tourist draw, future cost savings from buried utility lines - all the factors needed. - EW
