Travel: Cedar Breaks National Monument, 2 of 2

2025-06-06 - Brian Head, UT - Photo by Robert Ellis, robertelliswoodworking.com.
Robert writes, "I mentioned with the first photo, the weather was a cold and windy 34 degrees. Wearing shorts and a hoodie, I braved the conditions long enough to take in a little bit of photography. I could see this National Monument being more enjoyable to visit during mid-summer, when you can take your time and maybe hike some of the rim...and not having to run back to the car to warm up!"

2025-06-05 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Donna Rieder.
Donna writes, "June is Dairy Month! I just wanted to remind people that it's not just cows that produce milk! The half-inch of sweet cream sitting on top of this goat milk (pictured at left) will be whipped, then put on top of the blueberries and strawberries I picked from my garden this morning (pictured at right). It'll be a cool treat after a day on the lawnmower!

"When we add a name to the law enforcement memorial, it's more than an act of duty; it's a promise from a grateful commonwealth that these officers who died protecting our safety will never to be forgotten," Gov. Beshear said. "The memory of those we honor today, as well as the additional 589 officers listed on the monument, inspires us to be better, to do more and to strive to live up to the incredibly high standards of service and sacrifice they set."
