Election 2018 reflections: Quinn family during the counting

2018-11-09 - Adair County Courthouse Annex, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Adair County Treasurer Melinda Quinn and her husband Randy were joined during the vote counting Tuesday evening by their grandchildren, from left, Maddie, 7; Jase, 2; and Ellie, 4. The little ones were pretty patient with the process even though they couldn't quite understand why all the attention had to be on all those numbers flying around. They are the children of Beth and Jeremy Wethington, all from Knifley.

Birds of Kentucky: Muscovy Duck

2018-11-08 - Jefferson Co., KY - Photo by Pen.

Postcard from downtown Columbia, KY

2018-11-08 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, columbiamagazine.com.
This front porch scene in the morning light could make a good postcard to remind us of Halloween just past, the colorful leaves of the season in Columbia, KY, Election 2018 and the wind storm we had Monday night that could be the reason for the torn flag. - LW

Summer Shade school house, looking for picture of Sulphur Well

2018-11-08 - Metcalfe County, KY - Photo from Ma\'s Deli.
This is a picture of the Summer Shade school house from 1931-32. It is similar in looks and shape to the Sulphur Well school house. I am hoping a reader will let me know if a photo of the Sulphur Well school house is in existence. Would love to see it. - Linda Waggener
