Kentucky Color: Late Autumn Beauty

2018-11-21 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Billy Joe Fudge.
We don't usually think of Red oak and White pine as Fall color species but these contrasting colors in this setting at the edge of the CAUD parking lot on Grant Lane might just inspire us to think differently.

Additionally, we should remember, "splendor is neither here nor there but where one finds it".

Peer leaders organize Thankfulness Wall at ACHS

2018-11-20 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Robin Loy.
Today at ACHS, peer leaders incorporated Thanksgiving into their latest campaign through the creation of a "Thankfulness Wall." Students were given the opportunity to write down three things that they are thankful for on a daily basis. ACHS students quickly filled the wall with reminders that no matter how bad things may seem in the moment, if we take the time to reflect on our blessings there is always a lot to be thankful for.

Austin Krapf, Carolina Sheridan, Breiann Sheridan, Ivory Krapf, Angel Holiman, Alex Fudge, and Morgan Harvey pose proudly with the Sources of Strength Thankfulness Wall at Adair County High School.
