This small pond in the Green River Lake WMA had been partly drained when it became government property in the late Sixties, but still holds a nice pool of clear water.

All the trees in this area of the Green River Lake Wildlife Management Area, except one large oak, looked to be less than 50 years old. A 1953 Topography map shows it to have been in a large area of cleared farm land.

Johnsons helped at OCC in Atlanta

Columbia Baptist Church Pastor Randy Johnson and wife Leigh Johnson helped out at the Operation Christmas Child processing center in Atlanta Georgia. The group from Adair County worked at the Processing Center on Monday and Tuesday last week.
