Ann Curtis shared this keepsake from her mother's collection, taken from the Sandusky yard (probably porch), and says there seem to be several views of this it in existence. Mitzi's picture from last month of this flooded bridge showed more of the crowd in the yard. This old iron bridge probably withstood lots of floods before it finally collapsed under the weight of a semi truck crossing over it! The story of the experience is in Ed Waggener's The Day the Campbellsville Street Bridge Fell, April 21, 1948 The two-story white frame house is still standing on the opposite bank, as well as the smaller white frame house. I believe the McLeans lived in the large one, and Mother's grandparents, the Suttons, lived in the small one.
