KSP mobile substance abuse education trailer used at AYDC

The students at the Adair Youth Development Center had the opportunity to see the Kentucky State Police mobile substance abuse education trailer. They were able to tour the trailer and ask speaker Trooper Nick Hale different drug related questions.

Nick Hale with the Kentucky State Police Post 15 in Columbia visited the Adair Youth Development Center (AYDC) this past week, speaking to the students on the importance of making good choices. He helped the students understand the dangers that go along with drug use.

KSP seeking help in missing Casey County teen Hayley Brown

KSP Post 15 is asking for the public's attention and help in attempting to locate 17-year-old, Hayley Brown, of Liberty, KY. Hayley is a 5' 06 " 165 pound, white female with brown hair and blue eyes. Contact the Kentucky State Police, Post 15 at 1-800-222-5555 or your local law enforcement agency. Tpr. Zach Scott is investigating.

Sinkhole opens up in Somerset parking lot

A sinkhole opened up in a Somerset parking lot causing the rear portion of a garbage truck to fall into the hole. It happened just before 9 a.m. Monday in the Cundiff Center parking lot, WLEX reports.

Russell Sneed, the garbage truck driver, was driving out of the lot when the hole opened up. Sneed was not injured, the station reported.

Harden honored as Manager of the Year

Adair County native Josh Harden has been named 2018 Agency Manager of the Barren County - Cleveland Avenue Agency, District Two. The award was presented during the company's 64th annual sales conference, held in Louisville on February 14, 2019.
