Sinkhole opens up in Somerset parking lot 2019-02-19 - Somerset, KY - Photo courtesy Kentucky Press News Service. A sinkhole opened up in a Somerset parking lot causing the rear portion of a garbage truck to fall into the hole. It happened just before 9 a.m. Monday in the Cundiff Center parking lot, WLEX reports. Russell Sneed, the garbage truck driver, was driving out of the lot when the hole opened up.
