Dr. Ben Tobin, a karst hydrologist with the Kentucky Geological Survey (KGS) will speak at Lindsey Wilson College on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11:30amCT. Dr. Tobin is interested in interrelationships between biology and hydrology in karst (cave) regions. For his talk, titled "Water Beneath our Feet: Understanding Groundwater Flow in Taylor County and South Central Kentucky", Dr. Tobin will describe the techniques used for mapping underground water flow paths and will present data from ongoing KGS watershed mapping projects at the Homeplace Farm in Taylor County. Purdy-Sano bridge FEMA money is in hand, nine years later 2019-02-21 - Adair County Courthouse Annex, Columbia, KY - Photo by Tiffany Kessler, columbiamagazine.com. Diligence pays off. Mike Keltner, Adair County Emergency Management Director, and Melinda Quinn, County Treasurer, were definitely relieved after the last payment from FEMA arrived this month. Though applied for in 2010, Keltner had worked on the original request for $97,000 since 2015.
