Scotty Coe welcomed to CAC Tourism Commission

Scotty Coe from Russell County, top right, introduced himself at the Columbia Adair County Tourism Commission Board of Directors meeting this week. He will be replacing the late Larry Clark as the Crappie USA representative and the connection to upcoming tournaments in April of 2019 and in October of 2020 at Holmes Bend Marina on Green River Lake. Board members in the picture with him, clockwise to his right, are David Lewis Butler and Amy Mitchum, Marla Shelley, Danny Reeves, Pam Hancock and Sue Stivers, director. Among the general business matters, Caleb Irvin was nominated, and has accepted, being named Henrietta Scott's replacement on the Tourism Board, pending confirmation by the City of Columbia. Henrietta is in the process of relocating to Pulaski County. - LW

Wolf Creek Dam after heavy rains of this week

KY Afield Outdoors: FINs lakes stockings began this month

Dane Balsman, Fishing in Neighborhoods (FINs) program coordinator for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, helps stock a FINs lake in winter a couple of years ago. The FINs lakes provide excellent fishing opportunities in 28 counties and may be the best option now for anglers given the unusually wet weather recently.
