Community Garden at Sunset

Summer garden transplants (tomatoes, peppers, etc.) will be available starting May 15 and Fall transplants (broccoli, cabbage, etc.) will be available by August 15.
Plots can be rented by individuals, families, or whole groups; boy scouts, church youth groups, etc. Questions should be addressed to Mike Bosela by e-mail (boselam@lindsey.edu) or phone (270-384-8192).

The Columbia-Adair County Community Garden

The Community Garden is located behind the Adair County Food Pantry at the intersection of West Guardian and South Monroe streets. The location is excellent for gardening with fertile soil, good light exposure, and free water (courtesy the Methodist Church).

Lovely pink Knock Out roses lined the street in one section of Bowling Green Sunday afternoon, May 5, 2019. It reminded me that soon we will be able to visit the Julia B. Horton Rose Garden at the Trabue Russell House in Columbia.

The building in the middle is where to delivery materials for recycling. The Adair County Recycling Center is open from 7am-3pmCT Monday through Friday at 62 Service Road, Columbia, KY. The Center accepts plastic bottles, cardboard, paper, steel, and aluminum cans.
