Wildflowers of KY: Dovefoot Geranium
2019-05-17 - Shelby Co., KY - Photo by Pen. Tiny pink flowers, thriving despite a recent mowing at a local park. While trying to figure out what these were, I happened onto a helpful flower identification web site: wildflowersearch.org. It lets you narrow down possible matches by location, color, size, number of petals, and more.

Epicurean Kentuckian: Classic Fish and Chips
2019-05-17 - Louisville, KY - Photo by Pen. Fried fish is a Kentucky staple, but the Irish Rover on Frankfort Avenue in Louisville does it in classic Irish pub style, with a giant piece of Icelandic cod fried extra crispy, served over a bed of chips, with tartar sauce and lemon. Best enjoyed with lots of malt vinegar and a pint.
