Sunday evening storm coming in from the west

Skies quickly turned from mostly sunny to dark as thunderstorms rolled in from Metcalfe County to the west and south a little after 4pmCT Sunday. Heavy rains came with thunder and lightening and rain is supposed to stay with us through the night.

Shanti Niketan Hospice Home

An artist's rendering of the planned Shanti Niketan Hospice Home. The T. J. Community Mission Foundation has received a $2 Million USDA Rural Economic Development Loan (REDLG) through Farmers RECC to aid in construction of the Hospice Home.

CIS retiring employees honored at close of school year

Campbellsville Independent Schools' employees recently had lunch and fellowship together to close the 2018-2019 school year, which ended Thursday, May 23. Employees who are retiring after this school year were honored. They include, from left, cafeteria cook Leslie Gaines, Campbellsville High School family and consumer sciences teacher Deanna Campbell, Campbellsville Elementary School Assistant Principal Doretha Sanders, Director of Pupil Personnel and Food Service Jeff Richardson, cafeteria cook Eveleen Burkhead, cafeteria manager Anita Haulk, Family Resource and Youth Services Center Coordinator Sue Crabtree and CES third-grader teacher Patty Haley. Absent from the photo are FRYSC assistant Sharon Hoskins-Sanders and the late Lee Allen, who was a custodian.
