Architectural recycling on UL Campus

The new University of Louisville Belknap Academic Building, which opened in the fall of last year, is built on the former site of the school's historic Crawford Gym. Bench seating in the lobby is constructed with wood from the floors of the old gymnasium.

Food Truck fundraiser event open and serving

The City Hall Food Trucks are set up and serving in the parking lot normally used by Farmers Market in the Square from now through the dinner hour. Happy Hawg BBQ from Russell Springs is the booth visible here. There were to be seven trucks. Retail businesses are open downtown until nine tonight and numerous events are going on at the Fairgrounds. It’s a grand Friday in Columbia!

Stacey Biggs, left, got details on the upcoming South Central Ky Outdoor Expo from Terry Partin at the WATCH health coalition meeting Thursday. Terry is spending all his time on the Expo which is growing into a huge Columbia/Adair County event and he invited TJ Health Columbia to be part of it.
