New Host Parent Orientation for ISP

On Tuesday, July 30, Lindsey Wilson College's International Student Programs held its bi-annual host family orientation. Several returning host families were able to join Director Sabine Eastham and two new host families.

Host parents: Veronica and Earl Klinglesmith, Tracy and Rob Hoffman, Jeanne and Charlie Marshburn Kallie Booth, Sabine Eastham, Mike Payne, Kim Gose and Dakota Smith. In front, Brandon Reed, ISP Student Ambassador.

Tuesday's second July Fiscal Court meeting

A second fiscal court meeting each month has proven necessary. A full agenda allows for bills to be addressed, departments to bring issues before the court, and county business to be discussed. All magistrates and staff were present for the meeting and include from left: Chris Reeder (District 4), Sammy Baker (3), Daryl Flatt (2), Harold Burton (1), ACJE Gale Cowan, Fiscal Court Clerk Bridget Compton, AC Attorney Jennifer Hutchison-Corbin, and magistrates Billy Coffey (5), Greg Caldwell (6), and Terry Hadley (7). In front right, backs to camera, are Sheriff Josh Brockman, AC Treasurer Melinda Quinn and Jailer Joey White. Meetings are open to the public and are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month in the basement of the Adair Courthouse Annex, Public Squre, Columbia, KY.

Lincoln Co. pipeline explosion was visible for miles

Welcome August and Dog Days of summer 2019

Millie the Cat knows instinctively how to handle the Dog Days of summer, typically the hottest, most humid times of the season in south central Kentucky. Her method includes finding a cool rock step, low to the shaded ground, and watching out for humans who might challenge her spot.
