Keeping our students safe 2019-08-12 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Tiffany Kessler. As the Adair County school year began last week, many noticed the abundant representation of local law enforcement. School Resource Officers (SRO) are stationed at each school. On the first two days of school, Columbia Police Chief Jason Cross and Adair County Sheriff Josh Brockman made their presence known by visiting the schools each morning. With violent attacks recently occurring across the nation the officers have given a stronger sense of safety to many guardians, staff, and students.
