LWC Fall 2019 International Student Force

Newell takes 1st in State Fair 4-H Country Ham Speech
 2019-08-17 - Louisville, KY - Photo by Lisa Newell-Hare. On Thursday, August 15, 2019, approximately 700 4-H youth from around the state of Kentucky gathered at the Kentucky State Fair to put their country hams on display and give a speech.
Noah Newell, a sophomore at Adair County High School, was one of those youth, where he competed in the 2003 age division. Noah was the 59th participant out of 61 in his age category to give his required 3-5 minute speech on "How to build a ham curing facility for your county extension office".
Noah took top honors of 1st place on his speech.
Noah is the son of Jimmy & Lisa Newell-Hare and the late Robert Woodrow Newell.

The event was held in the Singletary Center for the Arts in Lexington. He has worked in David Bowman's Liberty pharmacy for the past few years and begins work as a 2023 PharmD student this semester.
