CU chapel service to feature Dr. Damon Eubank

All chapels are open to the public free of charge.

CU Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations.

Team Lindsey Wilson at Rosenwald School

Educators Dr. Rodney White and his wife Donna Banks White retired home to Adair County and are contributing their energies to projects needing help, especially the Adair Heritage Association project of helping restore the county's only Rosenwald School, Flatwoods Grade Center. Today, they led a team of Lindsey Wilson College volunteers who gave their energies to the project. Before going to work, Dr. White gave a brief lesson on what the school was and the significance of the Rosenwald connection. Students in the group include: Rosenwald School: Andy McAllister, Sarah Mitchell, Bethany Kreutzer, Taylor Boortz, Madison Bryant, Shelby Herchenrader, Jeffrey Cowan, Haven Crawford, Alicia Riddle, Alexandra Duenzl, Cheyanne Spicer and Leah Perez.

Malvina Farkle Day is a time when Lindsey Wilson College students and coaches can be seen giving their time around Adair County. This group tends to maintenance around the historic Courthouse on the Public Square.

Chestnut Grove Christian Church volunteers on a quick break

Chestnut Grove Christian Church volunteers who worked on their project during the City's Day of Caring took a brief break for lunch and then got right back to work. Mayor Hoots said the churches really turned out for the special day of giving.

Several groups volunteered during in the Day of Caring

The Day of Caring, a time of service to others, resulted in "a wonderful turnout from our local churches as well as individuals who just showed up to be a part of this special day," said Mayor Pam Hoots. The day was planned in advance so citizens could ask for help where needed and groups like this one could organize to help. More than one ramp was built during the day.
